McClain Adds Two JUCO Transfers

Wyoming basketball hasn't offically announced their new recruiting class yet, but we know two of the names on the list already. They are LA City College teammates James Spencer and Joseph Taylor. Both players seem to be defensive minded players which fits right in with McClains style of play.

Wyoming's defense, especially the shot blocking antics of Justin Williams, was the signature of last years team. Williams is lost to graduation, but Taylor may be able to take his place. the 6'8" power forward lead LACC in blocks last season. His current coach at LACC describes him this way,

"Very athletic -- he's a big-time athlete. He's a very good defender. I think he finally understands that he's good on the ball, but he's also very good as a help defender. That's where he gets most of his blocked shots."

Taylor was LACC's defensive stopper last season,

"I think he can play the two and the three. "James, very honestly, guarded the best guard -- and sometimes, the forward -- on the opposing team. He can guard guys bigger than him, can guard guys smaller than him."
